Page 1 – Panel 1:
The sun rises over a peaceful suburban neighborhood. Birds chirp. The morning glow bathes Evan’s house in light. Evan, looking tired but hopeful, steps out the front door with his backpack slung over one shoulder.
Caption:
“Just one day. No missions, no battles. Just me, my friends, and a sense of normalcy.”
Page 2 – Panel 1:
Inside the house. Margaret and Thomas sit on the living room couch. A stillness fills the air. Margaret looks toward the door Evan just walked out of, a furrow deepening on her brow.
Margaret (whispering):
“He’s been different, Thomas. Distant. And this ‘government work’ story again? I’m not buying it.”
Page 3 – Panel 1:
Close-up on Thomas’s face. He’s trying to stay rational, but there’s doubt creeping in.
Thomas:
“You think he’s hiding something? We can't just sit here while he slips further away. I barely recognize him lately.”
Page 4 – Panel 1:
Margaret rises from the couch and walks toward Evan’s room. Thomas watches her, unsure but not stopping her.
Margaret (softly):
“If he is hiding something... I’m going to find it.”
Page 5 – Panel 1:
Wide shot of Evan’s room. Typical teenage mess. But under the bed — something is placed far too carefully.
Page 6 – Panel 1:
Margaret kneels down, reaching beneath the bed. Her hand finds a sleek, matte black box. It gleams unnaturally in the light.
Margaret (low, to herself):
“What is this?”
Page 7 – Panel 1:
She slowly opens it. Inside is the suit — dark, alien, beautifully crafted. The material glints with a strange metallic sheen. It’s undeniably real.
Margaret (barely breathing):
“Oh my god...”
Page 8 – Panel 1:
Thomas enters the room behind her, reacting to the suit in her hands.
Thomas:
“This isn’t some cosplay thing, is it?”
He touches the material — it's heavier than it looks. Reinforced. Meant to survive real damage.
Page 9 – Panel 1:
Margaret pulls out a second object: the alien communicator. It hums softly in her palm. Elegant. Futuristic. Dangerous.
Margaret:
“This... this doesn’t belong on Earth.”
She looks at Thomas, eyes filled with fear.
Page 10 – Panel 1:
Cut to Evan, laughing with Jason as they walk through the school hallway. Jason’s sipping an energy drink, nudging Evan playfully.
Jason:
“You sure you’re not a secret agent or something? You’ve been ghosting us.”
Evan (half-joking):
“Yeah, you caught me. I moonlight for the CIA.”
Page 11 – Panel 1:
Jason laughs but softens a little.
Jason:
“Seriously, though. You okay? You’ve been... off. Not like yourself.”
Evan (hesitating, then smiling faintly):
“It’s just... family stuff. They’re going through a lot. I’m trying to hold it together.”
Page 12 – Panel 1:
After school. Jason and Evan sit outside a coffee shop. The sunset paints the sky orange. They’re laughing, sipping drinks, for a moment feeling like normal teens. But Evan’s laughter fades slightly as he stares out across the street.
Evan (thought box):
“They’re going to find out. It’s only a matter of time.”
Page 13 – Panel 1:
Back at home. Thomas and Margaret are in the living room. The black box now sits on the coffee table. The suit folded neatly beside it. The communicator beside that. It looks like evidence at a trial.
Thomas:
“Whatever this is… it’s bigger than us.”
Margaret:
“No more lies. When he gets home... he tells us everything.”
Page 14 – Panel 1:
Evan walks toward the house, streetlights flickering on around him. He slows as he sees the porch light on. Something about it feels... wrong.
Evan (thought box):
“They know. I can feel it.”
Page 15 – Panel 1:
Evan opens the door. The living room is quiet. His parents sit waiting. The suit and communicator displayed in front of them like sacred relics.
Margaret (quietly):
“Evan... what is this?”
Page 16 – Full-page spread:
Evan stands frozen in the doorway. His parents’ faces are serious, hurt, afraid. The truth — all of it — hangs in the balance. The shadows of his double life finally catching up to him.
Caption (bottom corner):
“Nothing will ever be the same.”
