Page 1 – Full-page spread:
The dark planet Zynar, its surface bathed in an ominous, dark green aura. A vast, barren landscape stretches out beneath a sickly sky, swirling with black clouds. The towering fortress of Zykor rises into the clouds, casting a shadow over the desolate land. A sense of dread fills the air as we zoom in on the entrance to the throne room.
Caption (narration):
“The planet of Zynar—a place of darkness, where the very air feels thick with power and the weight of centuries of bloodshed.”
Page 2 – Panel 1:
Inside the throne room, Zykor sits upon his imposing throne, his expression cold and unreadable. Zyrax, kneeling before him, bows low, presenting a report in hand. His voice is steady, but his eyes flicker with reverence for his ruler.
Zyrax:
“Lord Zykor, we are 16% done with the revival of your father, Zarkanis. The most feared ruler in all of Zynar... the Conqueror. Soon, he will return in a new form, ready to finish what he started.”
Page 2 – Panel 2:
Zykor’s face remains stoic, his eyes narrowing as he listens. There is a long, tense silence before he acknowledges Zyrax’s words with a single nod. Without a word, Zykor stands from his throne, his cape sweeping the floor as he turns and exits the room.
Zykor (softly):
“Good. It will be done... soon.”
Page 3 – Panel 1:
The camera shifts to follow Zykor, now walking through the grand halls of the fortress, his footsteps echoing through the dark corridors. His posture is proud and regal, every movement commanding authority. He moves past a series of dark banners depicting the symbol of his family—two intersecting circles, signifying unity and dominance.
Caption (narration):
“Zykor—lord of Zynar. A ruler forged in the fires of conquest. But beneath the surface, a man driven by a singular purpose... to finish what his father, Zarkanis, had started.”
Page 3 – Panel 2:
Zykor walks alone in a long, dimly lit hallway, passing portraits of his ancestors, warriors who conquered worlds and crushed their enemies. His eyes flicker to them, but his thoughts are distant.
Caption (narration):
“Zykor’s rise to power was inevitable. His bloodline was one of dominance, and from an early age, he was molded to lead. But it was his father’s vision that truly shaped him—the vision of total, unrelenting conquest.”
Page 4 – Panel 1:
The page transitions into a flashback, and we see a young Zykor standing beside his father, Zarkanis, in a massive, darkened chamber filled with strange, otherworldly machinery. Zarkanis is holding a device—the Ecliptor—an ancient instrument capable of bringing forth the eclipse that could wipe out entire civilizations. The young Zykor gazes at it in awe and fear.
Zarkanis (speaking to young Zykor):
“This is the key to our power, my son. The Ecliptor will allow us to bring the stars themselves to heel, to cast our enemies into eternal darkness. It is our birthright... and it will be yours, once I am gone.”
Page 4 – Panel 2:
Zykor, much older now, stands victorious on the battlefield, bloodied and scarred but unbowed. His eyes burn with the fire of conquest, and his sword gleams in the light of a thousand dead enemies. He’s no longer the boy he once was, but a fierce warrior who has grown into the ruler he was always destined to be.
Caption (narration):
“Years passed, and Zykor became a conqueror in his own right. A fierce warrior who would stop at nothing to expand the reach of Zynar. But even in the bloodshed, his thoughts remained focused on one thing—the legacy of his father.”
Page 5 – Panel 1:
Another flashback: Zarkanis, dying in his bed, pale and weak. Zykor kneels beside him, holding his father’s hand as the older ruler gasps for breath. Zarkanis looks up at him with the weight of the galaxy in his eyes.
Zarkanis (weakly):
“Promise me, my son... you will finish what I started. The Aethonians must fall. You must ensure that the eclipse destroys them all... as it was always meant to.”
Page 5 – Panel 2:
Zykor stands alone, a silent promise in his heart. His father’s death echoes in his mind as the image of his father’s face fades away. Zykor’s grip tightens around the hilt of his sword.
Caption (narration):
“His father’s dying wish burned into Zykor’s soul: to finish the conquest of the Aethonians. He believed the eclipse had wiped them out. But he was wrong.”
Page 6 – Panel 1:
Cutting to Evan’s home, the camera focuses on him sitting with his parents in the warmth of their home. There’s a sense of peace here, far removed from the darkness of Zynar. Zykor’s speech plays over the scene, the words heavy with ominous intent.
Zykor (voiceover):
“The Aethonians will fall, just as they should have long ago. They are an obstacle... and I will destroy them. I will finish what my father began, and nothing will stand in my way.”
Page 6 – Panel 2:
Evan, his phone in hand, looks up as the words weigh on him. His mind is on the battle ahead, the conflict that still rages within him. The voice of Zykor feels like a shadow hanging over the room.
Page 7 – Panel 1:
Evan’s parents talk to him, their concern evident as they try to understand what’s happening. They don’t know the full extent of the war or Zykor’s role in it, but they know their son is in danger.
Margaret (worried):
“Evan, you need to be careful. You’ve been through so much... we just want you safe.”
Page 7 – Panel 2:
The focus shifts back to Zykor as he walks through the dark corridors of his fortress, his thoughts steely and unyielding. The camera lingers on him, his expression a mask of cold resolve.
Zykor (thinking):
“The Aethonians must fall... and with them, the last of the old order. My father’s vision will come to pass.”
Page 8 – Panel 1:
Zykor stands before a vast, holographic map of the galaxy, his fingers tracing the edges of planets, his mind focused on the future.
Caption (narration):
“Zykor’s plan is set in motion, and the stakes have never been higher. The eclipse will come again, and this time, nothing will stop it.”
Page 8 – Panel 2:
The camera zooms out from the map, showing the cold, mechanical world of Zynar once more. The green glow of the planet swirls ominously in the distance.
Caption (narration):
“The stage is set. The battle for the future of the galaxy is about to begin. And Zykor will be at the center of it all.”
Page 9 – Full-page spread:
The scene shifts to Zykor, standing atop a darkened cliff on Zynar. The dark sky crackles with energy, and the stars seem to dim in anticipation. Zykor’s form is a shadow against the burning green aura of his planet. The Ecliptor glows faintly in the distance, and his resolve is unshakable.
Caption (narration):
“The darkness approaches. The eclipse is coming. And Zykor will not be denied.”
