ISSUE #33
Page 1 – Panel 1:
The scene opens on a typical high school courtyard. Evan and Jason are walking together, laughing, as they make their way to the field. It’s a break between classes, and the vibe is relaxed and normal. They joke around, like nothing's changed.
Jason (grinning):
“So, what’s next? Leila is actually your real father?”
Page 1 – Panel 2:
Leila spots them from a distance, her face lighting up as she runs toward them. Evan’s eyes brighten when he sees her coming. He’s clearly missed her.
Leila (excited):
“Evan! Jason!”
Evan (grinning):
“Well, well, well. Look who’s all smiley today.”
Page 1 – Panel 3:
The trio laughs and casually talk about school, their regular banter continuing. Leila playfully teases Evan about how she’s been keeping up with his superhero status, but she also looks at him with a sense of longing. There’s chemistry between them, even in this simple moment.
Leila (teasing):
“So, any new alien powers or are you still just the ‘cool kid’?”
Evan (laughing):
“Honestly? I’m just trying to survive high school without blowing anything up.”
Page 2 – Panel 1:
The next panel shows the three of them on the football field, playing with some other students. The sun is shining, the game is lighthearted, but you can feel that things are still tense under the surface, given the recent events.
Page 2 – Panel 2:
Later that day, Evan walks home. He enters through the front door, and immediately, his parents greet him. They’re in the living room watching TV.
Evan (smiling):
“Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad. School was good. Just the usual chaos.”
Margaret (cheerfully):
“Well, at least the usual chaos is manageable, huh?”
Page 2 – Panel 3:
Evan’s parents, Thomas and Margaret, are seated on the couch, and as he takes a seat beside them, they begin chatting about school and life in general, as a family. It’s comforting and normal. But then, the news catches their attention.
Page 3 – Panel 1:
The TV screen flashes with an urgent news bulletin. The reporter’s face is serious and tense, showing images of destruction in New York.
Reporter (on TV):
“Breaking news: New York City is under attack by human-like creatures, possessing immense powers. The situation is dire, with widespread destruction reported across the city.”
Page 3 – Panel 2:
Evan’s expression changes immediately to one of focus. He stands up from the couch, his hands clenched.
Evan (grimly):
“Not again…”
Page 3 – Panel 3:
The communication device on Evan’s wrist buzzes. It’s Captain Hawke calling. Evan immediately answers the call.
Captain Hawke (over comms):
“Get to New York. Now. There’s no time to lose. We’ve got a situation.”
Page 4 – Panel 1:
Thomas looks at Evan, nodding with a determined expression. He’s ready to help his son, not hesitating for a second.
Thomas (firmly):
“We’re on it. Don’t waste time.”
Page 4 – Panel 2:
Evan immediately calls Jason, speaking quickly as he prepares to leave.
Evan (urgently):
“Jason, mission is underway. Meet me at the usual spot. We need to move, fast.”
Page 5 – Full-page spread:
Evan and Jason, now in their superhero attire, soar into the sky. Their eyes are filled with purpose as they fly above the clouds, heading toward New York. The city skyline looms in the distance, smoke rising from the chaos below.
Caption (narration):
“With the world still reeling from the meteor strike, new threats have emerged. But no matter how overwhelming the odds, the team will fight to the very end.”
Page 6 – Panel 1:
Cut to New York City, where the Rebellion League and Lena are already on the scene, engaged in battle with the villains. The villains are terrifying, each with powers that are nearly unstoppable. Copycat, with his wolverine claws, multiplies into dozens of versions of himself. Nullshade, with his yin-yang body, summons both demonic and angelic powers, while Climax fires energy blasts from his chest cannon.
Voltfist (in battle stance):
“These guys are insane…”
Page 6 – Panel 2:
In a bloody exchange, Copycat’s clones slash through the air, attacking the heroes with brutal precision. Blood flies as they cut through flesh, the battle chaotic and intense. Voltfist, covered in cuts, unleashes a thunderbolt toward one of the copies, but it does little to stop the onslaught.
Voltfist (gritting his teeth):
“We can’t keep up with all of them!”
Page 6 – Panel 3:
Nullshade summons angelic hellhounds that leap toward the heroes, attacking with savage force. The heroes struggle to hold their ground as blood stains the streets.
Mindquake (struggling):
“These beasts… they’re relentless!”
Page 7 – Panel 1:
The battle rages on, but the villains are too strong. Climax charges up his cannon, aiming it at a civilian nearby. The civilian screams, and it’s clear that Climax is about to kill them.
Climax (grinning maniacally):
“This will be fun…”
Page 7 – Panel 2:
Before Climax can fire, Lena flies in from above, delivering a crushing kick to his jaw. The force of the impact sends Climax’s teeth flying, knocking him out instantly.
Lena (smiling):
“Not so fast.”
Page 8 – Panel 1:
Copycat continues to multiply, and his clones are wreaking havoc. Some are sliced in half, others explode from Voltfist’s electric charges. But no matter what, more clones keep coming.
Voltfist (panting):
“There’s too many of them!”
Page 8 – Panel 2:
Nullshade, seeing an opening, releases more hellhounds. They charge at Evan, but Thomas—his father—punches one of the hellhounds out of the air, sending it crashing to the ground.
Thomas (grinning):
“Look out, kid. Got your back.”
Evan (gratefully):
“Thanks, Dad.”
Page 9 – Panel 1:
Evan and Thomas, working together, charge toward Nullshade, fists raised. They slam through five more hellhounds, blood splattering as they punch their way toward Nullshade.
Page 9 – Panel 2:
With a final, devastating punch, both father and son send Nullshade flying through the air, crashing five blocks away and leaving a trail of destruction.
Nullshade (screaming):
“No!”
Page 9 – Panel 3:
As Copycat multiplies even more, Margaret steps in, using her force field to protect the team from his attacks. Mindquake jumps onto the field, unleashing a powerful psychic beam that targets the real Copycat, making his replicas react violently.
Mindquake (concentrating):
“Got you now.”
Page 10 – Panel 1:
Aegis rolls into action like an armadillo, smashing into Copycat’s real form as Thomas throws him into the air. Aegis expands mid-air, slamming into Copycat’s jaw with his shield, knocking him out.
Page 10 – Panel 2:
The heroes watch as the villains are taken down one by one. The civilians cheer, and the news reporter reports the victory.
Reporter (on TV):
“Once again, the heroes have saved the day. New York is safe… for now.”
Page 10 – Panel 3:
Cut to the police, who are securing the unconscious bodies of the villains, preparing to send them to a special prison designed to contain superhumans.
Page 11 – Panel 1:
The team gathers in their base, exhausted but victorious. They exchange weary smiles, but there’s still uncertainty in the air.
Aegis (panting):
“Who are these guys, really? Why now?”
Page 11 – Panel 2:
Captain Hawke and Dr. Vaen are there, their faces grim.
Dr. Vaen (thoughtfully):
“They’re not from Zynar. We don’t have many leads. The meteor’s impact might be the cause, but... where did it come from?”
Page 11 – Panel 3:
The team disperses to their rooms to rest, except for Lena, who remains standing. She approaches Dr. Vaen with a serious look.
Lena (seriously):
“I’ll stay with you. Something doesn’t feel right about all this.”
Page 12 – Panel 1:
Dr. Vaen stands alone in her lab, deep in thought. Her eyes are narrowed as she considers everything that’s happened. Something about the whole situation feels unnatural.
Dr. Vaen (thinking):
“This is all too strange. Too calculated. This isn’t just some random attack...”
