Page 1 – Panel 1:
The scene opens in a dark room, where Zykor, the leader of the Zynar Dominion, watches everything unfold through a projection of Evan's replica. The room is ominous and filled with alien technology, and Zykor’s face is calm yet calculating.
Zykor (thoughtfully, watching the fight unfold):
“Hmm... someone else is involved. This complicates things, but... it also makes the job easier. As these heroes weaken, their confidence grows. Perfect.”
Page 1 – Panel 2:
Zykor leans back in his chair, his expression satisfied, his eyes glowing faintly as he thinks about the progress of his plan.
Zykor (smiling to himself):
“Let them get stronger. They'll fall hard when the time comes.”
Page 2 – Panel 1:
Cut to the base, where Evan and his team are resting after their mission. Evan is sitting on a couch, looking casual as he talks with Jason and the rest of the crew. The environment is relaxed, and the camaraderie is evident.
Jason (playfully):
“Hey, Evan, you want to do something fun?”
Evan (confused):
“Uh, what’s up?”
Page 2 – Panel 2:
Jason grins mischievously, nudging Evan with his elbow.
Jason (teasing):
“How about a 1v1 match? If I win, you have to ask Leila to prom. Deal?”
Evan (laughing, shaking his head):
“Not funny, Jason. You really think I’m going to do that?”
Page 2 – Panel 3:
Jason smirks, giving Evan a challenging look.
Jason (mocking):
“What, too scared? You scared to ask her?”
Page 3 – Panel 1:
Evan sighs dramatically, throwing his hands up.
Evan (grumbling):
“Fine, fine. I’ll do it. But this is so not going to end well for you.”
Page 3 – Panel 2:
Jason and Evan square off, both in battle stances. The rest of the team, including Lena, watches eagerly. They’re anticipating the fight, knowing that both of them are formidable.
Lena (teasing, to the crew):
“Jason, don’t go all out. If you do, Evan won’t be able to see tomorrow.”
Page 3 – Panel 3:
As they start their sparring, Evan throws a punch, and Jason dodges it easily. Evan looks focused, but there’s a glint of curiosity in his eyes as he watches Lena and Jason interact.
Evan (with a grin):
“Hey, you two seem to have been spending a lot of time together lately. What’s going on there? Something secret?”
Page 4 – Panel 1:
Jason counters Evan’s punch with a swift kick to his side, sending him stumbling slightly. Jason smirks and responds casually, not missing a beat.
Jason (teasingly, with a mysterious tone):
“Maybeee. Could be something more, could be something less. Who knows?”
Page 4 – Panel 2:
Evan brushes off the comment, shaking his head as he recovers from Jason’s kick and goes back on the offensive.
Evan (grinning):
“Come on, man, is that all you got? I thought you’d put up more of a fight.”
Page 4 – Panel 3:
Jason grins and taunts Evan with an almost cocky attitude.
Jason (confidently):
“Oh, I could show you more... but you wouldn’t even accept my offer then. You’ll have to ask Leila anyway, so don’t worry.”
Page 5 – Panel 1:
Evan, clearly distracted by the ongoing teasing, starts to lose his focus. His punch lands on Jason’s shoulder with too much force. Jason stumbles, but he’s still able to maintain his balance, grinning through the pain.
Jason (with a teasing, playful tone):
“Whoa there, Evan. Trying to break my shoulder or just too distracted by the thought of Leila?”
Page 5 – Panel 2:
As Jason continues to taunt, the rest of the crew watches from the sidelines, amused by the banter but also keeping an eye on the fight.
Mindquake (with a concerned look):
“Something’s off. I sense... a disturbance.”
Page 5 – Panel 3:
Evan, deep in the fight and too focused on the stakes of the bet with Jason, doesn’t notice Mindquake’s reaction. He throws a punch, but it’s more reckless now, and it accidentally lands squarely on Jason’s chest. Jason goes down hard, falling onto the ground.
Evan (grinning, but a little guilty):
“Hah! Looks like I’m not asking her after all.”
Page 6 – Panel 1:
Jason looks up from the ground, still with that playful grin, despite the blow.
Jason (with a raised eyebrow):
“Doesn’t count, man. You were focusing on Mindquake. Something’s up.”
Page 6 – Panel 2:
Evan, now concerned, turns toward Mindquake, his expression serious. He’s genuinely interested in what’s going on.
Evan (worried):
“Mindquake, what’s happening?”
Page 6 – Panel 3:
Mindquake, looking tense, rubs her forehead as if trying to block out the mental signal.
Mindquake (explaining):
“I’m picking up a signal, something’s coming through again... I think it’s from your space friend. The one you’ve been talking to.”
Page 7 – Panel 1:
Evan frowns deeply, his mind immediately going to the larger implications of the situation. He jumps up from the ground, ready to leave.
Evan (gritting his teeth):
“Alright, I’m going. I’ll deal with it. You stay here, Jason. This is more important.”
Page 7 – Panel 2:
Evan launches himself into space with a burst of speed, leaving the atmosphere behind in the blink of an eye. He flies through space, his mind focused on reaching his destination.
Evan (thinking to himself):
“No way it’s you again...”
Page 8 – Full-page spread:
Evan arrives in space, his silhouette floating against the backdrop of stars. He looks up at a ship that’s approaching, and he smiles with recognition. The ship is sleek, with a glowing aura around it, and the figure of the Lone Voyager can be seen standing on the deck.
Evan (shouting to the ship):
“Voyager, is that you?”
Page 9 – Panel 1:
The Lone Voyager steps forward, his silhouette illuminated by the stars behind him. The two of them are familiar with each other now, their friendship growing over time.
Voyager (with a calm, knowing smile):
“It’s good to see you again, Evan. I’ve got another message for you. A leader of a planet called Thalora wants to speak with you.”
Page 9 – Panel 2:
Evan looks intrigued but puzzled. He’s never heard of Thalora before, and he immediately asks.
Evan (curious):
“Thalora? I’ve never heard of it. What’s so special about them?”
Page 9 – Panel 3:
Voyager looks slightly amused, as if he expected Evan’s confusion.
Voyager (explaining):
“They’ve been watching you closely. Impressed by what you and your team did on Kraznir. They want to speak with you.”
Page 10 – Panel 1:
Evan, still curious but not quite understanding, nods, processing the information.
Evan (nodding):
“Kraznir... that was a while ago. Guess it must’ve made quite an impression.”
Page 10 – Panel 2:
Voyager starts to turn, preparing to leave. He calls back to Evan with a knowing smile.
Voyager (calling over his shoulder):
“Good luck, Evan. They’re waiting. And remember... you’re not just anyone anymore.”
Page 10 – Panel 3:
Voyager departs into the vastness of space, disappearing into the stars. Evan watches him go, feeling the weight of what’s to come. He looks back toward his base, determined.
Evan (thinking to himself, with admiration):
“Man, Voyager is awesome.”
Page 11 – Panel 1:
Back at the base, Evan bursts into the main room. He’s excited, but also focused.
Evan (announcing):
“I’m going to Thalora. Their leader wants to speak with me.”
Page 11 – Panel 2:
Dr. Vaen rushes to Evan, her face filled with urgency. She hands him an air mask with a serious expression.
Dr. Vaen (rushed but calm):
“Thalora’s atmosphere is toxic for outsiders. Very little oxygen. This filter will protect you. You’ll need it.”
Page 11 – Panel 3:
Evan nods, taking the mask from her. He looks at her with appreciation.
Evan (thankful):
“Thanks, Dr. Vaen. I’ll be careful.”
Page 12 – Panel 1:
Evan takes off, his form disappearing into space like a needle in a haystack. He’s gone in an instant.
Page 12 – Panel 2:
Cut to Evan’s parents, who have just finished their grocery shopping and are holding bags full of food. They stop in their tracks when they receive a call from Evan.
Page 12 – Panel 3:
Surprised, they scramble to find somewhere to put the groceries before returning the call. When they pick up, they’re clearly caught off guard.
Margaret (calling out, surprised):
“Hey, son?”
Page 13 – Panel 1:
Evan, with a sigh, explains his situation. His parents look at each other in disbelief.
Evan (on the phone, apologetic):
“Sorry, Mom, Dad. I won’t be home for dinner after all. I’ve got to visit a new planet. Thalora. Their leader wants to speak with me.”
Page 13 – Panel 2:
Evan’s parents exchange glances before responding, clearly resigned.
Thomas (sighing):
“God damn it...”
