ISSUE #11
ISSUE #11
Page 1 - Panel 1:
The issue opens with Evan and Lena sitting on top of a high-rise building in a quiet part of the city. The sun has dipped below the horizon, leaving the sky painted with shades of pink and orange. A slight breeze ruffles their hair, and the city below them is alive with the hum of activity. They’re deep in conversation, the weight of their shared history heavy in the air.
Evan:
“So, this is it then. All these years, all this time... we’ve been hiding in plain sight, hoping no one would find us.”
Page 1 - Panel 2:
Lena looks out at the skyline, her expression distant. The wind catches her hair, but she doesn’t seem to notice. Her voice is calm, but there’s a hint of sadness in it as she speaks.
Lena:
“We were survivors, Evan. We thought if we scattered to different worlds, maybe we could avoid whatever came after us. Some of us, like me, chose peaceful homes—planets where we could live quietly. But not everyone agreed. Some, like Draken, took a different approach. They thought if they took control, they could protect us by dominating.”
Page 2 - Panel 1:
Evan turns his gaze towards Lena, absorbing what she’s saying. He’s always known there were other Aethonians out there, but hearing it from someone who lived it makes it feel more real.
Evan:
“So, Draken... he chose to conquer, to fight. What happened to him? What does he want now?”
Page 2 - Panel 2:
Lena’s eyes flicker with a faint emotion—something between uncertainty and regret. She’s clearly thought about Draken’s actions for a long time, but the answer still doesn’t sit well with her.
Lena:
“He’s dangerous, Evan. He believes the only way to survive is to control everything. But we were never meant to rule. We were meant to blend in, to adapt... not to dominate.”
Page 3 - Panel 1:
Evan leans back, looking up at the sky as he takes in Lena’s words. His mind races, trying to piece together the bigger picture.
Evan:
“And what about the Eclipse? The disaster that wiped out our home planet... What happened there? Why did it happen?”
Page 3 - Panel 2:
Lena clenches her fists slightly, clearly frustrated by the memory of their lost world. Her gaze hardens as she recalls the horrors of their past. Her voice is tight, but resolute.
Lena:
“We don’t know who caused it. But we were scattered across the galaxy, and for centuries—what you’d call ‘centuries,’ in Earth time—we lived under the radar, trying to rebuild and heal. But now, with these attacks... I think someone has found us. Someone who wants to finish what was started with the Eclipse.”
Page 4 - Panel 1:
Evan’s face darkens as he thinks about Lena’s words. He’s been feeling the weight of his own identity and what it means for Earth, but now he’s wondering if there’s something much bigger at play.
Evan:
“Do you think Draken could be behind this? I mean, if he’s still out there...”
Page 4 - Panel 2:
Lena gives a small shake of her head, her eyes narrowing slightly. She’s not convinced it’s him—yet. She’s seen too much of his ruthlessness to believe it would be him pulling the strings behind the attacks.
Lena:
“I don’t think so. If it were Draken, we’d be fighting him directly, not these... creatures. No, this feels different. It’s something older, something deeper. Maybe whoever caused the Eclipse is finally coming to finish the job.”
Page 5 - Panel 1:
The conversation falls into a brief silence. Evan gazes up at the sky, his mind reeling with the implications of Lena’s words. Then, he glances down at his watch, the time flashing on the screen: 7:13 PM.
Evan (surprised):
“Crap, I’m late! My date with Leila is soon!”
Page 5 - Panel 2:
Evan stands up quickly, pushing himself off the ledge of the building with a burst of energy. His eyes dart back to Lena, a small grin tugging at the corner of his lips.
Evan:
“Guess I’ll have to catch up with you later. I’ve got a date to get to.”
Page 6 - Panel 1:
Lena watches Evan take off into the sky, her expression unreadable. As he speeds off toward the city, she remains still, her eyes fixed on the vast expanse of the evening sky, lost in thought. The air around her seems to vibrate slightly, as if echoing the weight of everything they’ve talked about.
Lena (to herself, softly):
“Wherever they are, they’re coming. And I’ll be ready.”
Page 7 - Panel 1:
The scene shifts abruptly. We cut to a dark, stormy planet. The atmosphere is thick with clouds, lightning crackling in the air, casting eerie shadows across a desolate landscape. A dark, imposing structure looms in the distance, surrounded by towering mountains and jagged cliffs.
Narration (ominous):
“Elsewhere, on a faraway world, the pieces begin to fall into place.”
Page 7 - Panel 2:
A General stands in a darkened room, looking at a holographic display. His face is grim, his posture rigid as he receives a report from one of his subordinates. The news he’s just been given is unsettling—but not unexpected.
General:
“The second Zaroxxen has been taken down. It confirms the existence of Aethonians on that planet.”
Page 8 - Panel 1:
The scene shifts to a dark throne room, where the Leader, a figure cloaked in shadow, sits upon a throne of obsidian. His voice is deep and commanding, filled with cold certainty.
Leader:
“This is the confirmation we’ve been waiting for. The Aethonians are not as scattered as they think. Now we know where to find them.”
Page 8 - Panel 2:
The General bows before the Zynar Leader, a sense of cold purpose in his eyes. The leader’s expression remains unreadable, but there’s a glint of satisfaction in his gaze.
Leader (ordering):
“Cease the investigation. We no longer need to search. We have found our target.”
Page 9 - Panel 1:
The General turns sharply, his face filled with anticipation. The storm outside rages, matching the intensity of the moment. The wheels of fate are in motion, and nothing will stop them now.
General:
“As you command, my lord. The Aethonians will fall.”
Page 9 - Panel 2:
The dark room fades to black, the words hanging in the air like a promise of destruction. We hear the sound of thunder as the page goes to black.
