Page 1 - Panel 1:
Evan is walking through the school courtyard during lunch break. He’s chatting casually with Jason, both of them enjoying a moment of downtime.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
Another typical day. Just like any other.
Page 1 - Panel 2:
Wide shot of the school courtyard. Students are mingling, eating, and talking. Evan is in the middle of a conversation with Jason.
Jason:
“Man, you ever think about what you’ll do after high school?”
Evan:
“Probably take some time off, you know. Travel. Chill.”
Page 2 - Panel 1:
Suddenly, a soft, familiar voice cuts through the noise of the courtyard.
Female Voice (off-panel):
“Sevrin.”
Page 2 - Panel 2:
Evan freezes. His eyes widen slightly, hearing his true name from the voice of someone he knows—but shouldn’t. He turns towards the source of the voice, his expression a mix of confusion and recognition.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
I hadn’t heard that name in years. Not since... not since Aethon.
Page 2 - Panel 3:
Close-up of Evan’s face as his mind begins to race. Flashbacks begin to intrude, images of Aethon, his past life, and memories of distant voices swirl around him.
Flashback 1:
A view of the beautiful, but now-destroyed Aethon. Explosions in the background. The sound of shouting. The image of a woman—Xendra.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
It was her... Xendra... no, Lena. The voice, it’s the same. But how?
Page 3 - Panel 1:
Evan snaps back to reality. He looks around, trying to locate the person who called his true name. His expression is a little more urgent now.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
I knew that voice. But how could I? I’ve never heard it on Earth before...
Page 3 - Panel 2:
Across the courtyard, Xendra (under her Earth alias Lena Aepron) is standing in the shadows, just outside the main flow of students. She watches Evan, her face calm but observant.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
And there she was. The one who just... pulled me back. The one who made me remember.
Page 3 - Panel 3:
Lena steps forward, her presence commanding but subtle, as if she’s been waiting for this moment.
Lena (calmly):
“Sevrin, it’s been a long time.”
Page 4 - Panel 1:
Evan looks at her, his confusion deepening as his mind still processes the flood of memories. His voice is hesitant, unsure.
Evan:
“Who... who are you?”
Lena (smiling faintly):
“It’s been so long, hasn’t it? But you’ll remember. Soon.”
Page 4 - Panel 2:
Evan takes a step forward, as if instinctively drawn to her. The memory of who she is seems just within his grasp, but it’s not fully there yet. He fights to focus, trying to grasp onto her words.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
Her words, her voice... it’s like a key unlocking something inside me. But why now? What’s happening?
Page 5 - Panel 1:
Lena turns to leave, taking a few steps back. She pauses as she senses something, glancing over her shoulder at Evan, her expression mysterious but not unkind.
Lena:
“I’ll be in touch. You’ll understand everything soon enough.”
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
There was something in her eyes—something familiar, like I was supposed to know her. Like I should’ve been expecting her. But I hadn’t.
Page 5 - Panel 2:
Close-up of Evan, still watching her as she walks away. A storm of emotions is visible on his face—confusion, frustration, fear, and a sense of longing for something he can’t quite remember.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
I wanted to follow her. I needed to. But... I didn’t. Not yet. There’s too much I don’t understand.
Page 6 - Panel 1:
Jason walks up, interrupting Evan’s thoughts. He’s oblivious to the tension from Evan’s encounter and speaks casually.
Jason:
“Dude, what’s up? You look like you saw a ghost.”
Page 6 - Panel 2:
Evan shakes his head, forcing himself to focus back on the present moment. He glances over his shoulder, but Xendra is already gone.
Evan:
“Yeah... I’m good. Just... just tired, I guess.”
Page 6 - Panel 3:
Jason gives Evan a quizzical look but shrugs it off.
Jason:
“Alright, man. Let’s go grab some lunch.”
Page 7 - Panel 1:
The two friends walk toward the cafeteria, chatting about trivial school matters. Evan is visibly distracted, his thoughts far from the mundane conversation he’s having with Jason.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
I couldn’t shake the feeling that everything was about to change. That voice. Her. Lena... Xendra. What did she want from me? And why now?
Page 7 - Panel 2:
Evan’s hand clutches the strap of his backpack tightly, the weight of the moment pressing down on him as the sounds of the school fade away.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
There’s something I’m missing. And I need to find out what it is.
Page 8 - Panel 1:
The final shot shows Xendra, in the shadows near the school gates, watching Evan and Jason walk away. Her expression is unreadable—her purpose uncertain, but something clearly set into motion.
Narration (Evan’s Voice):
Whatever it was, I knew it was only the beginning.
