Page 1 - Panel 1:
Wide shot: inside a massive underground government defense facility, cold and sterile, filled with screens, scientists, and armed guards. At the center: the corpse of the alien creature under containment, blood samples being processed.
Dr. Olivia Kade (off-panel):
“We’ve never seen DNA like this.”
Page 1 - Panel 2:
Close-up on Dr. Kade standing beside a holo-projection of the creature’s damaged tissue. She speaks to Captain Hawke and Agent Carter.
Dr. Kade:
“Most of its makeup is unreadable. But there’s one section—traces of humanoid DNA. Faint, degraded. But it's there.”
Page 1 - Panel 3:
The screen shifts. On one side: the creature’s DNA. On the other: a blurry, partial match with Evan Holt’s profile from an earlier school ID or hospital record.
Captain Hawke:
“You’re saying... our kid put a hole through this thing, and then vanished into thin air?”
Page 1 - Panel 4:
Dr. Kade nods grimly, arms crossed.
Dr. Kade:
“We can’t be sure it’s him—but the anomaly detection chip we embedded in that contact card? If he so much as sneezes wrong, we’ll know.”
Page 2 - Panel 1:
Cut to Evan’s room. It’s Saturday. Sunlight through the window. Evan lounges on his bed in pajamas, spinning the black card in his hand and listening to music.
Narration (Evan’s thoughts):
They were calm. Too calm. And why give me a card at all?
Page 2 - Panel 2:
He flips the card to see its shimmering chip. It pulses very faintly, unnoticed.
Narration (Evan’s thoughts):
This thing’s not just a panic button. It’s watching me.
Page 2 - Panel 3:
Suddenly—a faint hum behind him. Evan turns quickly.
Evan:
“What the—?”
Page 2 - Panel 4:
The window gently opens without being touched. Lena levitates into the room, lowering gracefully onto the floor. Casual clothes, but her aura feels alien.
Lena:
“Still ignoring everything I said, huh?”
Page 3 - Panel 1:
Evan jumps up, shocked.
Evan:
“Lena?! You—you can’t just float into people’s rooms!”
Lena (smirking):
“Would’ve knocked if I thought you’d answer. Or remembered who I was.”
Page 3 - Panel 2:
Evan walks toward her, half-confused, half-curious.
Evan:
“You keep acting like I’m supposed to know you. Like we’ve met before.”
Lena:
“We have, Sevrin.”
Page 3 - Panel 3:
Evan pauses at the name. Flash of memory—barely visible behind his eyes.
Evan:
“Don’t call me that. That’s not my name.”
Lena:
“Not anymore, maybe. But it was. On Aethon.”
Page 4 - Panel 1:
They both sit. Evan across from her, guarded.
Evan:
“You keep talking about Aethon. About me being someone else. You know how crazy that sounds, right?”
Lena:
“Crazy doesn’t mean wrong.”
Page 4 - Panel 2:
She lifts a finger. A small object floats from his desk to her palm. Levitation. Her powers on display.
Lena:
“Do you think what happened with that creature was luck? Or instinct?”
Page 4 - Panel 3:
Close-up on Evan. He looks down, jaw tight. The memory of ripping through the monster flashes in his mind—brief, violent.
Evan:
“I didn’t even know I could do that...”
Lena:
“You didn’t. Until your body remembered.”
Page 5 - Panel 1:
Meanwhile—inside the government facility, an ALERT screen flashes.
Technician:
“Sir. We’ve got a spike.”
Page 5 - Panel 2:
The energy signature from the contact card is displayed on a 3D map. A pulse of energy reading from Evan’s location.
Captain Hawke:
“Was it him?”
Technician:
“Hard to say. Signature’s distorted. But it came from that address.”
Page 5 - Panel 3:
Dr. Kade walks in, reviewing data on a tablet.
Dr. Kade:
“If it wasn’t the boy, it was someone close to him. Either way, we’re getting closer.”
Page 5 - Panel 4:
Captain Hawke nods, serious.
Captain Hawke:
“Eyes on him. Constant. If he is what I think he is... we don’t get a second chance.”
Page 6 - Panel 1:
Back in Evan’s room. Lena stands, heading toward the window again.
Lena:
“There’s more coming, Evan. You’ve been asleep long enough.”
Page 6 - Panel 2:
Evan stands too. Still unsure, but something has shifted. A silent acknowledgement that something in him is changing.
Evan:
“Lena... why now?”
Lena:
“Because the war’s not over. And you’re not done.”
Page 6 - Panel 3:
She levitates out the window again. Evan watches in silence, the wind from her exit ruffling the curtains.
Page 6 - Panel 4:
Final panel: the black card on his desk lights up faintly, glowing red. A warning silently sent. Tracking initiated.
