Page 1 – Panel 1:
Bright morning light floods Evan’s room. Alarm buzzes. He groggily sits up—normal human problems for once.
Caption:
“For the first time in weeks… nothing happened.”
Page 2 – Panel 1:
Evan walking to school, earbuds in, hood up. Passing cars, school kids, everyday noise.
Caption:
“School. Friends. Laughter. Almost normal.”
Page 3 – Panel 1:
Group shot: Evan, Jason, and Leila eating lunch outside on school grounds. Jason is cracking a dumb joke, Evan actually laughs.
Leila (smiling):
“You look alive again, Holt.”
Evan:
“Guess I forgot what peace felt like.”
Page 4 – Panel 1:
Cut to a secret military facility. A blacked-out location, fortified and hidden underground. Inside, the “Rebellion League” (let’s rename soon) has set up camp with alien tech fused into Earth infrastructure.
Caption:
“Elsewhere, the calm wasn’t comforting.”
Captain Hawke (in conversation):
“Quiet doesn’t mean safe. It means planning.”
Page 5 – Panel 1:
Lena in a training room, sparring with Phantomark. She knocks him down and offers a hand.
Lena:
“Still rusty, Phantomark.”
Phantomark:
“Still angry, Xendra.”
Page 6 – Panel 1:
Dr. Olivia Kade in the lab, typing rapidly while screens show scans of humanoid remains. Close-up on one twitching muscle fiber beneath glass.
Dr. Kade (whispers):
“…That’s not decay. That’s activity.”
Page 7 – Panel 1:
She grabs her comm and hits the emergency line.
Dr. Kade:
“Captain Hawke—one of the bodies just moved. I need you down here. Now.”
Page 8 – Panel 1:
Cut to Hawke running down the corridor with guards following. He enters the lab as Kade brings up a 3D scan. The twitch happens again—clearer now.
Hawke:
“Still alive?”
Kade:
“Something is still functioning. Nervous system or... something worse.”
Page 9 – Panel 1:
Cut to the alien team gathered. Mirage crosses her arms, deep in thought.
Mirage:
“I might know someone.”
Mindquake:
“Someone who can help?”
Page 10 – Panel 1:
Mirage steps forward, more serious now than usual.
Mirage:
“There’s a xenobiologist back on my planet. Used to be royal researcher before the monarchy collapsed. If the labs there still stand… she’ll know what this is.”
Page 11 – Panel 1:
Captain nods without hesitation.
Hawke:
“Take a sample. Go with Aegis and Phantomark. We’ll keep a line open—but keep it quiet. No mistakes.”
Page 12 – Panel 1:
Quick montage panel of the trio prepping: Mirage locking the humanoid remains in a sealed case, Phantomark packing tools, Aegis powering up the ship. They launch through a glowing portal-station.
Page 13 – Panel 1:
Back on Earth, Evan sits in class, eyes drifting toward the window. Birds flying. Sky clear. But something itches at the back of his mind.
Caption (Evan’s inner thought):
“Why does it feel like this won’t last?”
Page 14 – Panel 1:
Cut back to Dr. Kade still analyzing data. The scan glitches for a moment before stabilizing again.
Caption:
“Because it won’t.”
Page 15 – Final Panel (Full page):
Back on the shadow planet. The General stands before a new containment pod, its surface pulsing red. Inside: something larger. Something monstrous. A mutated form… not yet fully awakened.
Leader (off-panel):
“They’ve had their time to rest. Let’s see what they do… when it arrives.”
